1) Who is responsible?
My name is Rémi Menguy and I am the only person who manages SnippetWave (creation, administration, and moderation). This is not a business.
2) What data is processed?
Account & profile (optional): username, avatar, bio.
Published content: snippets, messages, comments.
Contact: the email address and the content of your messages when you write to me.
Minimum technical data: information necessary for proper functioning and security (e.g., timestamp, IP address in technical logs).
3) What I do not collect
No plain text passwords. If authentication is used, it is managed by the host; I do not have access to your passwords.No tracking cookies. SnippetWave does not place cookies for advertising or analytics purposes.
Note: The technical host may use strictly necessary cookies (e.g., session cookies) to operate the site; they are not used for marketing tracking.
4) What are the data used for?
Provide the service (display the pages, publish the snippets, manage the forum).
Ensure safety, prevent abuse and fraud.
Respond to your contact messages.
Legal bases (GDPR): execution of the service, legitimate interest (security/moderation), and, where applicable, your consent (contact).
5) How long are they kept?
Contents & profile: as long as your account/usage is active.
Contact requests: the time to process your request and then limited archiving.
Technical journals: short and reasonable retention for security purposes.
You can request the deletion of your content or your account at any time (see contact above).
6) Who are they shared with?
Host: the site is hosted on the Odoo infrastructure (odoo.com) linked to snippetwave.com; the host processes technical data to operate the service.
- Messaging: your emails are processed via Gmail (Google).
- I do not sell your data.
7) Where are they hosted?
On the infrastructure of the host mentioned above. The host may operate within the European Union and/or outside the EU with appropriate safeguards.
8) Your rights (GDPR)
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, limitation, opposition, and portability.

9) Security
Reasonable measures are in place to protect the data (restricted access, logs, best practices). No system is infallible: report any suspicion of abuse to me.
10) Updates
This policy may evolve to remain clear and compliant. The date at the top of the document indicates the last update.
